The most fun PS game Past 1

Through a large amount of data screening, U4N has compiled the most popular PS4 games since 2018. Each game has its own different style, but no doubt, they are the best.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Assassin's Creed Odyssey places more emphasis on role-playing elements than previous games in the series. The game contains dialogue options, branching quests, and multiple endings. The player is able to choose the gender of the main character, adopting the role of Alexios or Kassandra. The player can also develop romantic relationships with non-playable characters of both genders, regardless of which one they choose. The game features a notoriety system in which mercenaries chase after the player if they commit crimes like killing or stealing.

+Massive open world to explore with a lot of sights and surprises to uncover

-Slow pacing that can make playing the already overwhelming campaign a drag

Bloodborne is an action role-playing game played from a third-person perspective and features elements similar to those found in the Souls series of games, particularly Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. The player makes their way through different locations within the decrepit Gothic world of Yharnam while battling varied enemies, including bosses, collecting different types of useful items that have many uses, interacting with the strange non-player characters, opening up shortcuts, and continuing through the main story.

+Great variety of new weapons
+Creepy atmosphere

-Disappointing AI companions
-Few new ideas

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
The player controls Ethan Winters from a first-person perspective as he searches the Baker house for his missing wife. Although Ethan is a civilian with few combat skills, he is able to arm himself with a variety of different weapons including handguns, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives, and chainsaws against the Baker family and a humanoid form of fungus known as the "Molded". He can also block attacks to reduce damage. Various sections of the game are spent being pursued by members of the Baker family, who is engaged in combat, can only be temporarily incapacitated. However, these encounters are avoidable by means of stealth or running away

+Beautifully detailed, uber-creepy haunted house
+Superb voice acting across the board
+Stellar visuals
+Excellent variety thanks to the different family members and playable flashbacks
+Terrifying survival horror game that nails all the things that have made the series so highly regarded

-Slow movement speed
-Some boss battles prove more annoying than intense
-Some plot points aren't as impactful as they should be
-Those who are easily frightened might be turned off by the number of jump scares

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an action-adventure, stealth game in which players take the role of Punished "Venom" Snake from a third-person perspective in an open world environment. The gameplay elements were largely unchanged from Ground Zeroes, meaning that players will have to sneak from several points in the game world, avoiding enemy guards, and remaining undetected. Included in Snake's repertoire are binoculars, maps, a variety of weapons, explosives, and stealth-based items such as cardboard boxes and decoys.

+Tells a complex, unusual story that holds your attention from start to finish
+The world and characters are captivating in their presentation
+Exceptional sandbox gameplay
+Incredible graphics

-Pacing issues towards the end of the game momentarily halt your momentum
-Infrequent checkpoint that punishes your stupidity and impatience
-Sparse story

Persona 5
Persona 5 is a role-playing game where the player takes on the role of a high school student, codenamed Joker, who lives out a single year while attending school in modern-day Tokyo. The game is governed by a day-night cycle and weather systems that determine general behavior similar to a social simulation game. The year is punctuated by both scripted and random events as Joker attends school, can perform part-time jobs, and pursue leisure activities or create items for use in battle. These various activities raise character attributes, which in turn grant passive buffing effects during battle. When in the real world, the main protagonist can develop character relationships known as Confidants; an evolution of the Social Link system from Persona 3 and Persona 4. With this system, the main protagonist can converse with and improve his relationship with other characters he meets, with some leading to possible romances.

+Memorable story
+The most stylish RPG you'll play all year
+Evolving relationships with party members and social links
+Streamlined turn based combat that encompasses the best aspects of previous Persona games

-Time management is essential
-Boss fights can be unfair towards the end
-Combat is sidelined for a compelling narrative

Horizon: Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game played from a third-person view. Players take control of Aloy, a hunter who ventures through a post-apocalyptic land ruled by robotic creatures. Aloy can kill enemies in a variety of ways: setting traps like tripwires using the Tripcaster, shooting them with arrows, using explosives, and a spear. Machine components, including electricity and the metal they are composed of, are vital to Aloy's survival; she can loot their remains for crafting resources

+The most gorgeous console game ever made
+So much stuff to do
+An engaging story

-Waypointing can be a little iffy

Grand Theft Auto 5
Grand Theft Auto V is an action-adventure game played from either a third-person or first-person perspective.[b] Players complete missions—linear scenarios with set objectives—to progress through the story. Outside of the missions, players may freely roam the open world. Composed of the San Andreas open countryside area, including the fictional Blaine County, and the fictional city of Los Santos, the world is much larger in area than earlier entries in the series.[c] It may be fully explored after the game's beginning without restriction, although story progress unlocks more gameplay content.
